Order calculator
Find the right artificial grass roll size
Enter the outside measurements of your yard. We calculate the 15 ft wide roll length you should order.
Measure the longest side and the widest side. The calculator uses the outside rectangle so you order enough turf.
- Measure the longest outside edge.
- Measure the widest outside edge.
- Order enough turf to cover that full rectangle.
Available for rectangle and square yards when blade direction stays consistent.
What does turf direction mean?
Artificial grass blades naturally lean one way. Light reflects differently with or against that lean, so two pieces from the same roll can look like different colors if one is rotated.
Roll reference: turf comes in a 15 ft x 100 ft roll, and the blade direction runs toward the 15 ft-wide end side.
Plan seams and cuts before ordering. Extra material is often better than rotating an offcut into the wrong direction.
Quick ordering rules
- Artificial grass rolls are 15 ft wide. Any area wider than 15 ft usually needs multiple strips and seams.
- For angled, round, oval, curved, and odd shapes, use the outside rectangle so you do not order short.
- For L-shaped or separated areas, split the yard into simple rectangles and calculate each section.
- Keep all pieces facing the same blade direction before you decide where seams should go.

We can review the roll size, shipping options, and blade direction before you order.
For circles, ovals, triangles, trapezoids, curves, L shapes, and odd corners, this uses the outside rectangle. For seams or blade direction, send us your measurements before ordering.
Turf Calculator Questions
How does the turf calculator estimate order size?
The calculator uses your yard measurements with the standard 15 ft artificial grass roll width to estimate roll length, sections, seams, measured area, and likely waste.
Why does the calculator use an outside rectangle for curved or odd shapes?
For circles, ovals, curves, angled areas, and odd corners, using the outside rectangle helps prevent ordering short. Extra material is usually safer than missing coverage.
What does turf direction mean?
Turf direction is the natural lean of the grass blades. Pieces should face the same direction because light reflects differently when one piece is rotated against another.
